Cindi Marrero is the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Omnus Law, bringing over 18 years of litigation experience and a passion for legal excellence. In her role, Cindi ensures the highest standards of quality and efficiency in legal processes, leveraging her extensive background in complex litigation and transaction management.
Prior to joining Omnus Law, Cindi served as a litigation paralegal at Carlton Fields in Miami, FL, where she was the lead paralegal in a significant 20-plaintiff products liability wrongful death litigation. She coordinated all aspects of discovery, depositions, expert witnesses, and trial preparation. Cindi’s meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in managing e-discovery platforms and drafting discovery responses were pivotal in her role.
Her career includes notable positions at Butler, Weihmuller, Katz, Craig, and Akerman. At Butler, she handled insurance defense litigation and construction defects, managing cases from pre-litigation through trial. At Akerman, she was part of the team defending a massive national MDL, playing a key role on multiple trial teams for complex business and criminal trials.
Cindi also held significant roles at Kirkland Ellis and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, where she coordinated and provided comprehensive paralegal and administrative support to high-profile partners and teams. Her expertise includes e-discovery tools like Relativity and Casemap, eFiling, and legal research using Westlaw and Lexis/Nexis.
Cindi’s academic achievements include a BA in Sociology from National University, where she graduated summa cum laude, and an AA in Economics from San Diego Mesa College. Her education complements her practical legal expertise, providing her with a well-rounded perspective on societal issues and legal practice.
